Examination & Evaluation Scheme
Scholastic Area

The school follows evaluation strictly as per the guidelines issued by the CBSE for assessing the scholastic area of teaching learning process. To take care of student’s pace of learning, the assessment is done at regular intervals to bring continuous improvement in the performance of the students.

School Terms

The school’s academic calendar has been divided into two Terms.

  • 1st Term: April – September
  • 2nd Term: October — March
CLASSES I-II

Assessment is done in the form of review tests, blended assessment, homework and classwork. There will be two Term examination in each subject.

PROMOTION POLICY
Classes VI —IX & XI
  • The student must fulfill the minimum 75% attendance criteria to be able to sit for the Final Exam.
  • Minimum 33% marks are required for qualifying in all subjects.
  • It is essential to pass in theory and practical Examination separately in classes XI and XII in order to be declared pass in the concerned subject.
  • If a student is failing in one or two subjects, then the student must take an Improvement Exam in that subject to enable him / her to be promoted to the next class i.e student must get minimum 33% to qualify the subject.
IMPORTANT
  • Cheating in tests / examination in considered as a grave offence. A student who is found using unfair means while writing examinations will be awarded ZERO in that subject. Repetition of the same offence will result in his / her rustication from the school.
  • Evaluation in minor subjects in classes VI-X such as Art, Music, Dance, Physical Education etc. will be conducted during the regular class periods.
  • Students are intimated in advance about these tests / examination. Evaluation of minor subjects is reflected as grades in the Report Cards.
  • A student absenting himself/herself from practical examination, Half yearly or Final examination will not be re-tested or re-examined. He/she shall lose the credit for the same in the cumulative assessment, which may affect his/her promotion to the next class.
  • If a Report Card is misplaced it will be re-issued on payment of Rs 100.
  • Eligibility for School Officials: 60% in aggregated and not failing in any subject in Unit-Test/Examination.
