Cultural exchange programme in school efficiently propels
the students to understand diversity in country and also efficiently makes
learn to easily co-exist as well as feel the compassion on different
PIET SANSKRITI SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL, Panipat got the
opportunity to go to Bhutan with the delegation of 21 students headed by Vice
Principal Ms Bobby Singh and Ms Kanak Sharma
on 25th September 2019 as a part of Indo-Bhutan Exchange Program.
The gracious Bhutanese host Pelkin school received their Indian guests with lots
of warmth at the airport.The beautiful
drive through the mountins introduced the first glimpse of the beauty of Bhutan
“The Land of Happiness.”
following day the host Pelkin School Thimpu greeted the Indian students with a
warm welcome.The students and the teachers were welcomed by Mr Rudra Cheetri Principal, coordinators, staff members and
other students. The traditional lighting of lamp followed with garlands,
vermillion, sweets and performance by the school band made it all the more
special for them. An Ice-breaking session was conducted by the student cultural
head and his group.They performed the traditional dance of Bhutan.

of Bhutan to dance with them. The students and the teachers interacted with
each other. The group embarked on a joyful journey of experiencing food and
different colors of Bhutan.
students of PIET visited the School of Arts and Crafts, Folk Heritage Musem and
Textile Museum ,Kuensel Phodrang – the site of the World’s largest sitting
Buddha statue and Thimpu Zoo. The students got the chance to enjoy a game of
football in the Changlimithng Stadium among themselves and also visited Lotus
